Its a hard branching tube, you cant tell from picture but small, clear,flexable strings(for lacking of a better word) form on the outside edge of tube openings. Bought tank used, new to hobbie. Had for 3 months no real change in apperance other than the strings.

Also, it's one big ball with algae growing in the cracks. From what i can tell if its attached to a rock then the rock can only be about a inch across. whole thing is about 8in across.

It's a type of tube coral called Cladocora .
I have seen it about everywhere diving in the Gulf Of Mexico and through the Keys. Fairly hardy though . I've had some come in on some live rock a few times. |
