How many use RO with out the DI filter?
I was just wondering how many people run theit RO with out DI? And what the results were.

RO will only remove 96-98% of the TDS so it all depends on your tap water quality. Without a TDS meter you never know. RO by itself is also poor with phosphates, silicates, nitrates, ammonia and other things. For the little bit extra DI is safe insurance.

You'll want the extra verticle DI canister. The small positively and negatively charged ions (cations and anions) in your water supply that get through the filter and RO membrane will get pulled out of the water when they go through the DI resin. If you get the color changing resin and a clear housing, then you'll know when it needs replacement. Your TDS will be lower using both RO and DI.
