yeah, the detritus is probably my main problem. I'll have to take care of that. I dont blow the rocks off, or clean the overflow or sump.

so, I am thinking for a CUC for the DT I will get something like
10-12 streat snails (have)
6 blue leg hermits (have, give or take a few)
20 nass. snails
1 fighting conch
20 cerith snails
1 longspine urchin
plus a pair of skunks cleaners, a fire shrimp, and maybe a group of sexy shrimp

and for the fuge
10 nass. snails
3 blue leg hermits

would that be sufficient? anything Im missing?

Leave the urchin out of it. I had one in a 125 and had to get rid of him really fast because he out grew the tank. He was basketball size.

What this means is that your flow is not effective, don't go wasting $$$ on anything for the moment, tweak your flow and make sure you're getting the detritus to the skimmer. IMO this is your main concern at the moment, a BB tank (or any for that matter) can only process so many nutrients in the tank it's designed for quick removal of wastes, not to be a manure plant. If your flow is not taking care of the LR being detritus free, then you'll have to manually blow it via powerhead or turkey baster.

Try this first b4 you go wasting any money. Do invest in a good TDS meter for your water tough
