On the Move
So I recently got a used reef tank and the owner was unsure of some of the livestock. This lil guy is about the size of a half dollar and is constantly on the move. Second pic is to try an show what he moves with. Pic was taken on a phone so excuse the quality. So anyway what is it?

I can't tell from the pictures what it is, but it is wild looking. Someone will come along and be able to identify it.

+1 for Neptune's ID, I always called them fleshy limpets though, and I've never seen a brown one either, only solid black.

![]() we found a scutus in our tank and was thrilled when we found it - especially as it had gone 'unseen' for couple years before it was noticed (what are the chances???)... the one you have would seem to be a more 'unique' find or less common anyway. once it was found hanging upside down on a piece of LR - like a bat in a cave... it stayed like that for several hours... have no idea what it was doing positioned like this and havent noticed this behavior since. later on we caught it and stuck it in the fuge... happy reefing. regards ![]() |

Mine tends to like the underside of rock too. To see him transfer from rock to rock is unique to say the least.
