Hitchhiker...keep or not?

This little crab was caught hitchhiking. Looks like a mithrax crab of some sort. Should I keep him or will he become a pest?

I can't tell from your picture what kind it is.
But I do know that most (not all) of the crabs that come in with live rock will end up going after corals or fish.
I've lost several frags of nice zoanthids to these type of crabs.

Doesn't look anything like a Mithrax to me. To be safe, I'd toss it or put it in a sump.

Hello,

but normally only after dead fish... (corals I can agree)
but I think it all depends also on how you feed.

If they get enough they normally stay "quiet"

regards

Markus
