I am running three 250 watt halides , do my pc acintics do any good to run while these halides are running or would it be just the same to use them as daylight and dusk lights only?

IMO no, they are too weak to see. VHO or T5's will do very well (what i have) for that. I would recommend them just to show day and dusk. good luck Wiz
