Simple plumbing question.

Right now I have a solid pvc pipe as my drain line, I want to change it so that it starts as a solid pvc pipe but changes to a flexible tube to allow for easier plumbing. What is the best way to connect a flexible tube to a plastic pvc pipe?

It is a 1" pvc pipe.

1" slip to threaded adaptor and teflon tape. (plumbing section)

1" barbed fitting. (sprinkler section)

1" flexible hose. (kitchen plumbing section)

Good old Home Depot..... been there way to many times.

No problem at all. Glad I could help.

One thing you might consider while doing this is converting your return line to partial flex hose as well if it already isn't. You will reduce noise from the return pump.

go to a pool supply place and ask for "spa Flex" it's flexible PVC pipe that you can glue into PVC fittings, i just piped my system up with it about 10 minutes ago.

btw, try to avoid teflon tape on PVC fittings, it will cause the fitting to crack when tightening
