digital Aquatics

Do you have a digital Aquatics Elite setup?

do you like it?

What cool things do you have it doing for your reef?

Can you offer me info on your experience as I am thinking of purchasing one - and I'd like to learn more about it.

Thinks I'd like it to do:

1) control power to in tank pumps (the kind that hang on with magnets)
2) Control lighting to 2 400W icecap's
3) Control posssible moonlighting
4) control calcium reactor
5) control skimmer on/off

What else should I think about having it do? What else can it do?

Thanks for helping me understand what this thing can do!

They are still releasing modules, but I will be (some I do already) dosings, lights, heating, ph control, ozone, tank/skimmer overflow switches, fan control, moon light(they sell their own modules), text warning to my phone if anything is wrong, data logging and a couple others.

It can do everything you listed. If you are planning on controlling Tunzes or Vortechs, it cannot- although they *MAY* be offering one of those in the future.

I like mine so far, easy to program and reliable. I find programming simpler than my old AquaController.

Forgot to mention, a biggie for me with a basement fish room, is the 100' of bus cable you can run between the modules(compared to Aquacontrollers recommended 10').

The bus cable is just a phone cord right?

Another cool thing that it can do that you might consider is using it as an Auto Top Off. I just help my dad setup this fuctionallity.

No it is not a phone cable. If you use a regular phone cable you will do permanent damage to the system. It uses an RJ11 6 conducter jack, but it is a straight through cable. The system ships with plenty of cables and they sell extras at a decent price online.
