Media reactor qs.
I picked up a media reactor (didn't need it, but it's handy to have). I put 3 tablespoons of phosban in the reactor. Here come the questions. That approximately 50 grams looks like nothing...is that the right amount? My tank is 30 gallons with a 20 gallon sump...so 50 gallons like it said. Also, how should it be adjusted? Right now it kinda moves in the reactor, but doesn't go crazy and isn't really really still. Idk, the top sort of ripples. Is that right? Should I adjust it more or less?

I use 150g on my 39g tank.... I think you could use more if you want but if your phosphate is coming down with 50g then dont change anything.
The top of the media should just "bounce" in the water.... like a boiling pot. It sounds like your flow is just about right. You don't want too much flow as it will break down the media and it could be harmful to your tank. |
