AGE Composite rimless tank, does it need a eurobrace
I am having a 36x26x20 AGE Composite tank being built, and I am wondering if I should have them put in an acrylic eurobrace. I will be using 2 MP40W's in this tank, and don't want a blowout. My current tank is made out of 3/4" acrylic and it is bowing.
I am wondering with all the rimless tanks around, if anyone has experienced any weakening of the tank, whether its bowing, or if they notice their silicone is failing. I'm curious now that Vortechs have been in use for quite awhile, if anyone has see the effects of having that volume of water surge throughout their tank. I know that the bowing started being noticeable a week after I started using the vortech in long pulse mode. I offset the problem by taking another vortech and sticking on the opposite end....to even out the bowing |
