short canopy mh's options

im in the process of setting up my new 90gallon 60x18x18 tank and where i want the tank to go im stuck with using the canopy this time. and since i just got some new icecap ballasts not more then 3months ago im really want to keep using them... now i've seen http://www.aquacave.com/250w-metal-h...lens-1537.html now i realize for 40$ a pop they arent the best stuff out there. anyone have any experience with them?

my thought process here is if i get something thats not super efficient should help because tank is only 18" deep. hence it wont burn/brown stuff out?

or if someone can suggest something else thats not gonna burn everything in my tank and cheap let me know.

I have those on my 24" tank and they work fine for the price. I have pics in my gallery with those exact reflectors. PS, the dark spot in the middle will be covered by T5's sometime in the future, but for now the 2 x 250's give plenty of light
