Static Head Pressure Help

Can someone please explain to me in simple english form static head pressure?

The ReefFlo Hammerhead is rated for a maximum flow rate of 5800pgh, a shut off of 23' and for systems requiring a minimum of 15 feet of static head.

What does this mean?
