Koralia Power Head Placement

I just got in two Koralia #3's today. i am going to put them in my 75 gallon tank and I was wondering where the best pace to put them would be? Where should I have them pointed?

I point mine on the sides one closer to the front, one closer to the back.

So that it creates a circular motion. I do have more than just 2 pumps in a single tank though. Can never get enough flow these days.

half way down is fine and im sure a good idea, however id suggest 1 third down to start and if its not right then as rhino mentioned lower them to half way

Sounds good, should I have one pointed behind the live rock and the other in front of the live rock or what? My rock is in the middle of the tank.

if you have 2 then no, i would as stated point them at each other slightlyforward, but theres probably no harm having another 3rd small ph at the back of the rock

Play around with them til you have good flow throughout without a sandstorm. I have mine creating a circular motion. then my sump return is coliding directly with my koralia3. This one is close to the top and pointed straight to get some good surface movement and direct waterborn junk to the overflow.

I don't know about other Koralia owners, but I initially HATED mine. I really got frustrated with the erratic water current pattern that they would emit. Now, I know this can be desired, I hated it for a couple reasons

-Sandstorms
-difficult to get desired flow amounts in specific areas (like to avoid LPS, to direct at SPS).

Therefore, I decided to install the little conical adapters on the Koralia (part of the accessories that came with the PH's). Flow is more focused (less erradic), so I can point and direct the flow much better.

theres also many aspects thatll change water flow over time too, youll notice after time,if you stock the tank with corals, youll have no choice but to move the powerheads to suit the tank better.

and ya Michael i was looking at my tank, they are closer to a third than half way.
