Can i dip my live rock in ro/di
I want to do a dip to try and cut the population of flatworms. Reason i as is they are only on 4-5 smaller rocks towards the top and are easily removed. After the dip i plan to do a levasole or flatworm exit treatment.

it will kill your bacteria and any coralline you have on it.
if youre gonna treat it anyway, why take it out? FWIW, a six-line wrasse will eat worms of all kinds, plus you get a new, cool looking fish.

From my understanding to treat the tank you need to diminish the population. It is a supstantional amount. The rocks they are on are base rock that has been in there for probobly 3 months.
I plan to get a 6 line however i don't think that it would diminish the worms enought to do the treatment. |

I would just use the flatworm exit and follow the directions carefully. The fresh water dip will wipe out your beneficail bacteria on the rock and could potentially cause you problems if the remaining live rock cant handle the bioload.
