What is the useful life of PCs???

Anyone know what the useful life of PCs are???

like a year - but go with T-5's, life is almost 2 years with no loss of waveform.

After 8 months nothing thrived under our PCs except hair algae (trashed because replacing the 4 96w bulbs ended up costing as much as the fixture was worth)

After 15 months, our T5s were still growing intentional critters (after that we retired the T5s while rearranging things, not sure how much longer they would have gone)

I only seem to get 6 to 7 months then the algea starts showing in large amounts
