Want to get away from Beckett skimmer, what would be an upgrade?
My total system volume is 455g. It is a FOWLR that I would say is a heavy load. I am running an MRC-2 with Iwaki pump atm. I like the Beckett but having to clean the injector all the time is getting to be a pain. I get some good skim, but the skimmer is a little loud when paired with the pump. I've not been exposed to a lot of good skimmers. My skimmer prior to this was a G4X that overflowed all the time and didn't produce a lot of good skim. I look at the skimmer market now and there are skimmers with pumps that draw in the neighborhood of 20-50 watts, like the MSX skimmers. Which skimmer would you guys recommend for my system (budget minded of course). Maybe the MSX 250 or 300? I only have ~28 inches of clearance under my tank.

I am switching a MR3 dual becket Blue Line 70 to a Orca 250. I just ordered yesterday. Sick and tired of adjusting becket skimmers. This is Mikes web site, his tank was one of the TOTM a while back. He went from a MR3 to an Orca. The price on his web site will be changing soon, to give you an idea he has the best price, even better than my whole salers.

I like the ORCA's or the ATI Bubblemasters. Both are good skimmers and the ATIs are a little more affordable.
