Does the # of becketts make a difference??
I see alot of skimmers with more than 1 beckett. I have a large skimmer that performs very well with 1 beckett. It is 10" in dia. and a 5' reaction chamber. What could I expect by adding another beckett?
Thanks |

More air intake and larger tank capacity. With 5' chamber you have the body size to do it. If its on a 180 it probably won't do much since its already probably skimming the crap out of the tank pretty well. It would however let you upgrade your tank to a larger system or if you feel its not keeping up with the bioload then go for it. You would need to add another pump along with it too keep the right pressure against the beckett.

I am upgrading to a 325. I currently use an Iwaki 100 on the skimmer. Will it power 2 becketts?
