Thanks. I'm not sure if this is taking the post off topic, but how do the dual Sicce pumps compare to the Askoll pump? There is a price difference, so I am figuring the single pump unit has some advantages.

I am looking for a skimmer for a light bioload 240.

Anyone know if they are making a recirc version with the Askoll 1500 pump?

Will the Octo Pro handle a 180 gallon heavy fish load with a 75 gallon sump?
Thanks

This is my set-up...cept...150 gallon...45 gallons in a 75 gallon sump...medium fish load on its way to a heavy fish load.
The Octo Pro 300 handles it easily, I clean my cup out at least every 6 days and its full of dark nasties. I would consider your set-up to be just under the upper limit that I would use a Pro 300 on. Go for it. Its also dead silent and plug and play, which is very nice.

Does anyone know if CNC Marine are still manufacturing these skillers for Coral Vue.

The web page link no longer works. I was hoping to check for the latest specs or a new model.

Word I got was that they were discontinued to be replaced by the Hurricones. I heard that the 300 was a pretty good performing skimmer.

Personally, I wouldnt buy a Hurricone. If I am going to spend that type of money on a "cone" then I want a true cone, not a regular cylindrical skimmer that just has the transition lower than most. It's a hybrid at best, not a true cone. The only real appeal I see is the pump. But I havent heard how they perform.
