Skimmer suggestion

Can you please tell me which one is a better skimmer?
OCT-NW-110 Octopus
Coralife Protein Super Skimmer 125 Gallon
Odyssea PS160 Protein Skimmer

I have a 75g FOWLR + 37g sump

Thanks for your suggestions,
Vick

Do not for the love of god EVER buy a coralife super skimmer. Thats the only advice I can give through personal experience.

Octopus is the better "brand" by far & I will be purchasing one in a few weeks.

I have about the same size system & I think you may be better off looking for a larger NW-150 or 200 for that size system.

Skimmer are generally way over-rated & the NW-110 is only rated for 90 gallons.

Myself, I'm going most likely purchase the Octo/MSX Extreme 200. I'm hoping it will be a good investment with the ability to upgrade my tank down the road.

Guys,
I was looking at the pic of Octopus in the bulkreefsupply.com
I don't see a collection cup for it to defuse the bubbles. I see it in Coralife. Can you please tell me how it prevents the bubble from getting into the sump? Or should I do it externally by myself?
Thanks,
Vick

The Reef Octopus by far. I love mine. Like ROOK said go bigger. You might even consider a recirculating model.

The top section is the collection cup. It's just the same size as the body & outer neck, so it looks like one piece.

Sorry I asked the wrong question.
I want to know if all the air bubbles that it creates will be trapped by a sponge container? Like we see in the coralife at the return side?
The reason I am asking is, I built my own sump and its a bad design. I don't have any space to hold the sponges in the flow path to trap the bubbles.
Thanks,
Vick

When I had a 55gal I used the Coralife 125 and it was good enough, these are way over rated as said before. Buy the biggest skimmer that fits your budget and sump.

I have an ASM G3 Skimmer on my 150 gallon tank (40gal sump)and this skimmer is recommended for a 250gal tank.... I wouldn't use a smaller skimmer on my size tank.

I use an MRC ocean force skimmer, the quality and price are hard to beat. Its a skimming demon in my opinion!
