Added Pep. Shrimp/Damsel is not happy
I just spent over 4 hrs. acclimating a peppermint shrimp and added it to my 10 gal. All I have in there is 1 yellow tail damsel, 1 clown, and 2 hermits. As soon as the shrimp entered the tank the damsel attacked. He kept attacking so I kept shooing him away. I then turned the lights off and the damsel went to him sleeping hole in the rocks. The shrimp is now out and about in the dark as a shrimp should be. I think he might be okay in the dark because the damsel don't like the dark and he just hides. Now for my question. Do you think the shrimp will be okay to defend itself in the morning when it gets light?

IMO, your Damsel will harrass your shrimp and eventually kill it. They almost killed my Chromis, but I got 2 out of the tank and 1 left to catch. They are not nice fish.
