helping someone who helped me

Ok so I saw one of my old teachers today(she taught me advanced math for 3-6th grade) she does so much for my moms school(gardens and other habitat displays)she's retired and still works at the school 30+ hrs a week.

I was talking with her and little me setting up a 125 reef tank came up. and she's told me that she's been trying to get a grant for a reef tank at the school for like 10 yrs she has been denied a grant for reef every time.

My questions are where do I start. I told her I would bring a list of companies who sell tanks/supplies and varius distributors so she could write letters to try and get some help. what else can I do to help I personaly have no money to help. though I told her I will maintain the tank and help stock it if she can get a grant o some one to donate supplies. I will donate LR sand and some other stuff(I can get boxes of corals for 10% over wholesale) like $500 worth at a LFS would cost me like $125-175 and will donate that. where else can I look to help her out???

Why not ask here? I imagine if you would submit more info concerning the schools' location, etc., as well as the proposed reef setup size and provide assurance that any donated items will be used as specified, an appreciable amount of help could be obtained from ones here like myself who has good equipment lay around waiting to be used.

sorry I fogot to mention the school is in phoenix, AZ.
not sure what size she want(she'll take what she can get) but preferably over 125, knowing her 180-240 min., If se could get a large enough grant she would go 500+ but I think 180-240 would be a good size. the school is not huge its actually pretty small. I may able to donate the sump if I can get my hands on a 60g or maybe I'll use a stock tank annd I will be DIY'ing MH lights

Are you a member of a local reef club? They often will help with those sorts of projects. I found a couple of links to clubs in your area. I'd bet they will help you with donations and manpower. Check them out: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/fo...s=&forumid=228
