Anything I can do to quiet down a ridiculously loud Genx pump?

I fixed mine by buying a Quiet One 4000.

But seriously, I replaced mine because it was in my living room and placing it on towels did very little to quiet it down. I am planning a basement sump and may break it back out again.

Mine is in the LR as well and it's just obnoxiously loud. I'm amazed that the PCI folks have the audacity to describe it as quiet.
