Lightcycle changes
Hi all, I need to move my tank's "day time" back about 6 hours. I'm normally a 3rd shift guy, but laid off right now and back in the land of sunshine. I need to change my lighting and was wondering about the best way to go about it. Is there some method that will reduce the stress this causes my corals? Thanks.

You can move your daytime back and as long as you keep the same photo period it will not affect the corals.

Thanks Capn', so give them a longer nighttime to make the switch to the new hours?

I think the capn. is referring to sliding the whole time cycle back. Just move everything back "x" hours.

Thats the plan, but when I change I either have to give them 1 long night or 1 long day cycle to get them on the new hours, at which point the duration returns to normal. I'm guessing a prolonged darkness would be less stressful.

those above will all work. I think 1 long night cycle will work better.
