calcium reactor questions

first question i have a used del tec calcium reactor and it needs cleaned out would hot water and vinegar work for that
i need new media what is a good brand
and what is a good calcium test kit the one i have reads 500 no matter what

Elos, Salifert & API are all good kits. I personally use Salifert.

As for the media, I will be using the ARM Large/Coarse grain media... and sticking a little bit of ZeoMag in there as well.

(the reactor link is still not working)

I'm hoping to bring mine online later this week, feel free to stop by and check it out if you want.

As far as I know the media doesn't matter from reactor to reactor. I switched out the small for the large/coarse.
