Wave Making Questions

i have a 125 gallon tank lightly stocked with corals and fish and a 40 gallon refugium. my corals are 2 colts 1 hammer 7 diffrent mushroom species 1 red goniopora coral. 1134 watt MH PC lunar light combo. i have 1 yellow tang 1 foxface 3 TR Ocellarius clowns 2 TR Cromis 1 dragon goby 1 Rusty angel. now with all of the tank size and the stock in there i currently have i have a few questions and would be very happy if i can get some insight on the issue. i have done multiple researching methods and books/websites and they all say that wave making is benificial to have in a reef aquarium. is it possible to have softies lps and sps in the same tank and use the same settings for all corals to make them prosper? or is it only sps or only lps and softies? and any insights to have on trying to immitate the waves found out in the ocean that can be benifical to all(timing wise)? please add any comment you have i take the insight seriously and greatly appreciate your time.
