Rookie coral guy needs help!
What corals can I keep under PC lights? I have a 25 gallon tank with 80 watts (4 bulbs - 10000k, 6700k, 460nm, 440nm)? Would it help to have two 10000k bulbs instead of the 6700k? and what is the differnece between the 460nm and the 440nm? Do these bulbs provide any benefit to coral growth or do they just make the corals look cool? I have mostly soft corals whose polyps have become noticeably larger since I bought them (2 weeks ago) but no new polyps! My one sps seems to be doing okay but it's only been a week. Rookie coral guy needs help!

I have had success with PCs in the past. Your mixture of lamps seems like a winning plan. Switching the 67K to another 10K would be purely for asthetics. I have found that some corals actually enjoy more of the 67K range.
It is believed that the 67-10K range is helpful for growth while the actinics help with color. Sounds like your coral are doing well. Have patience when it comes to growth, these things take time. Post some pics and we can help ID the corals and better recommend proper care. Welcome to the reef addiction |

stick with mushrooms, zoanthids and basic soft corals and you'll probably be fine. Many LPS would be happy as well-- Acans, Scolymia, Cynarina, etc. Your issue will be space, though.
