Brown/Red Algae

Hey guys,

I've got a 29 gallon tank that I'm slowly tuning into a reef. The tank is about nine month old with about 30 pounds of rock i made and 5 or so pounds of live rock. I seem to be getting more of a brownish red algae on my glass on sand. My ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all zero, pH is about 8.3 and thats all I currently test for. Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it?

Pictures would be nice or type cyano-red slime in the search box and look at some pictures of the previous threads-you will find a ton of them-

Testing phosphates may not yield the results you are looking for unless you go with an extremely expensive lab grade test kit.
