I might have vermetid snails
I have seen a few black cone shaped snails with little trunks like the nasc. snails. They aren't very big, but I think there are a few where before they are none. What do these things eat? Am I in a world of hurt? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Not vermetids. Probably dove snails, aka strombus grazers, especially if they use 'silk' to transit between rocks. They're great assets. I lost most of mine, and I want more.

I haven't personally seen any issue with them in my tanks, but when they are in a spot that's easy to reach and visible I usually just cover their holes with epoxy or super glue or smash them with something solid.
