Drilling a 110 gallon tank
I just picked up used 110 gallon tank. It has 1 hole drilled dead center in the bottom of the tank. It also has patches over 2 holes that were about 16" in from each side and centered front to back.
I what to use what I believe is called a dry/sump filtration system. All I have is the tank, cabinet style stand, light and conopy. Where do I go from here?

I plan on having Live Rock, Live Sand and Fish.
I looked and the filter type is called a wet/dry with the bio-balls.

typically the wet/dry bioball things becomes a detritus trap and raises nitrates and phosphates. personally i would remove the trickle plate thing and the bioballs and run the sump with just water. You may get away with it if you only have fish and clean the bioballs often. If you have enough LR and LS you should have enough bacteria.

BTW, those sound like bad places for holes; in the middle of the tank? It will be tought to get any type of overflow box over them.
