That should be more than enough space for them.

If you have fish in the tank, don't add one, and get your other crab out before it starts eating stuff. Had a sally lightfoot that I believed ate my clownfish pair. Gave him away, new owner knew he might be a risk, then he confirmed it when he found the crab eating the eyes of a large powder blue tang. Tang died. Go for snails or hermits for a clean up crew, much less risk.

![]() Alot of reefers consider these not reef safe along with horse shoe crabs. They get real big and their speed increases with their size--they are opportunistic carnivores.

keep just one. i have one with no problems in years of having him in a 120g tank. two may fight or compete. i have dozens of hermit crabs. a sall light foot and a purple and orange lobster in the 120 with no problems. just feed well.

IME, get the other one out. I had one in my 125 and everything went great for the first year, until the thing grew large. Started eating snails because I actually caught it dragging a snail into a cave. I got it out ASAP.

Crabs are opportunistic so having any is a risk if you plan on keeping fish.

I had a nice sized one (4-5 inch) for a year or so and never had any problems, however, I have heard too many horror stories, and although I LOVE the way these crabs look and move, nowadays I wouldn't risk having even one of them in my tank. Just my opinion. Best of luck!
