I'm still new to the hobby ( its great) went from 125 gallon to 500, hope I didn't over do it. But could some one let me know the right size refugium I shoul use and what the water flow through it should be. Any help would be great. thanks

Why not use your 125 as a sump refugium? There is no deff size needed but the bgger the better. 3-5x turnover through the sump is usually recommended.

Now that's what I call a first tank (well second)! The 125 would be fine for a refugium but you might want to scale it back to something like a 30 gallon. I'm a low flow fuge fan and tend to keep flow around 3X or less. Others have great success with flow much higher.
