Fish Compatibility List
I'm still working on figuring out my fish list, though I still have a few months before I'm going to add them. 55 gallon tank with potential to add some corals. What's the best order for adding? What are some good starter corals and when should I even think about adding them? I started the tank in mid March.
Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)-Pair Royal Gramma Basslet (Gramma loreto) Orange Spotted Goby (Amblyeleotris guttata) Kaudern's Cardinal (Pterapogon kauderni)-semi aggressive Blue/Green Reef Chromis (Chromis viridis) Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) This would be approximately 22.5" of adult fish, if I'm figuring correctly. I already have a crab in there (hermit?) that caught a ride in with the LR. I was thinking about getting some shrimp (peppermint?) and snails (what kind?) and maybe a starfish (worth it?). Here are some other fish I was toying with...any comments would be great!> > Blenny (Ecsenius)—what kind? Green Mandarin (Synchiropus splendidus)- harder to keep Three Spot Domino Damselfish (Dascyllus trimaculatus)—too aggressive? Add last? Blue Reef Chromis (Chromis cyaneus) Yellow Stripe Clingfish (Diademichthys lineatus) Jawfish, Yellowhead (Opistognathus aurifrons) Firefish, Purple (Nemateleotris decora) Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica) Bicolor Pseudochromis (Pseudochromis paccagnella)-aggressive, looks like royal gramma Purple Pseudochromis (Pseudochromis porphyreus)-aggressive? Flame Angelfish (Centropyge loriculus)-reef safe? Coral Beauty Angelfish (Centropyge bispinosus)-reef safe? Thanks! |

here's a compatibility chart from liveaquaria, in case you've not seen it already.

and good snails include nassarious, cerith, astrea (good but can't flip themselves over), trochus, and nerite. i use ceriths nassarious and astreas, and have stomatellas that came in on the rock.

Corals look here:
http://saltaquarium.about.com/od/cor...easycorals.htm http://www.asira.org/caresheets Easy to keep corals can be added right after your tank cycles. For more difficult corals, wait 6 months |
