More energy efficient, pressure pump with penductor or low speed flow pump?

I'm considering different closed loop options. Do penductors really boost flow 2-3 times?

Would I get more GPH/watt from a pressure pump with penductors or one of the Reeflo low speed pumps?

Yes penducators really do work and I believe they are at the 3-4 level.

It’s hard to say, you will just need to calculate it out with whatever setup you’re planning. I believe most people go the route of the Reeflo so that might be your answer.

Howdy, I will share my two cents worth on my penductors. I have 4 penguin penductors on a Marlin pump. They are the 3/4 size and shoot across the tank at each other. My tank is a 300 gallon and we have had it water wet for 5wks now. I put in the specs below from the penguin web site. My pump is in the 7gpm per educator bracket. So my total flow on 4 penductors is 8400gph. I have had to turn down my penductors about a third of full throttle due to the sand shifting to much. I was going to run this as my return pump but have had such good luck with this right now I may add a different pump to the sump when I put it on-line. So far I love them.

Hope this helps.
