blenny fighting with flame hawk
I just purchased a starry/snowflake blenny. I added him to a 75 gal FOWLR tank that has all passive fish (2 clowns, 1 dwarf angel, 1 dartfish, 1 flame hawk); the blenny and hawk keep landing near one another and then seem to be fighting - they circle around fiercely a few times then break apart.
I'm afraid that with the stress of the recent transfer into my tank and being attacked, the hawk will kill the blenny Anyone ever heard of a conflict between these 2 fish? they're about the same size. |

It's like your own personal Battle Royale. My bet is on the Blenny. One of my friends had a Damsel that killed like 5 fish, but his Lawnmower Blenny kicked that Damsel's ***.

+1 on the Blenny coming out the victor. Bad Blennies. They are quite proud of themselves. I know of one person's blenny that actually backs itself into a mantis shrimps lair and fan waggles its tail in the shrimps face just to let it know who is boss. I have a blenny and even though he is relatively cool to the other fish, I wish he would mysteriously die after eating a brand new ricordea frag right in front of me.
