Baby Peppermint Shrimp..maybe????
Does anyone know anything about the way peppermint shrimp multiply (for lack of better wording)? I have 4 p. shrimp...a few days ago one was almost gray looking...tonight when the moon light came on you can see all these things floating through the water. Never seen anything like this...these must be 300 of these things. Some are being sucking into overflow.. they are very clear looking with what appears to be tail...almost look like a clear tadpole but extremely small....just big enough to say you can see them and make out body shape. Only thing in tank is hermit crabs, snails, and 4 p shrimp? Any suggestions as to what these might be??

It's possible you do have baby peps. I have two skunk cleaners that mate and the female releases eggs that hatch about every three months so far. It's actually really cool to see. Unfortunately my fish eat all of them before they get to grow up, but at least I don't have to feed for a couple days.

I had this happen to me also a year or so ago. I could see prior to this event under the tail of the PS there was a mass of light white stuff. I watched the PS on the top of a rock flipping its tail and these little white/clear things going all over the tank. My clown fish was very happy eating them though. I never had any additional PS come of this event though.

no Loyalrogue they didn't look like that...that looks like the adults. These were clear looking...but alas they are all done. Between overflow and crabs they are all gone. Was just curious if that is what they could be.
