Really Quick Question

Is there that big of a visual difference between starphire and regular glass on small nanos? Also, is it better to buy then upgrade equipment or just buy the already upgraded stuff? (Like upgrading from low to high light, etc.)

Personally, I'd buy the already upgraded stuff. Especially if you've been planning the tank for two years You'll save money by not having to buy two or three sets of everything when you want to upgrade. That, or be happy with the equipment you have -- a good craftsman never blames his tools and all that.

Starphire vs regular glass on a nano? I have no experience in it, but my guess is that on a tank that small it won't be too noticable.

there is one advantage to buying several sets of equipment, and that is having first hand experience on what works and what doesn't for your particular setup

Ok, but I'm still wondering about the starphire glass.

If you don't have starphire to compare to, you won't even know.

Acrylic is even more 'clear', but it also has its disadvantages.

Yeah, I would get acrylic if there weren't so many stories of them scratching and "clouding" with age.
