Whats up with the power adapter for the fans on the ATI sunpower?

I got a sunpower a week ago and the DC power adapter for the fans has 2 prongs that plug into a normal white outlet plug. The only problem is that the prongs do seem to lock in place. Its very unreliable unless I'm doing something wrong. I tried super gluing it in there but it didn't work. Any one know whats up with these things? I don't want my lights or ballast to burn up cause of a faulty fan setup.

I also thought the adaptor was pretty cheesy for a top of the line expensive fixture, all I can think is buy a different one which we shouldnt have to but what else can you do? Maybe we should all ***** to greg, assuming you got it from reefgeek and guys in the future wont have to deal with a rigged up pieceocrap adaptor.

yeah, I might order a new one online. Radioshack over charges for these things, like 30 bucks or something crazy like that.

does it work when you plug it in? I mean it's not like this is something that you will be plugging in and unplugging daily right?

Have you seen it? Yes they work, they also stick out 4 inchs or so off the outlet and are not that solid, the point is they could give an american one instead of using euro style with a big ol adaptor that makes it stick way out. Just doesnt seem as sturdy or safe and for an otherwise top notch product its just one thing they could change to keep it a clean package.

It was made in germany. The weird thing is the actual light ballasts have normal plugs, but it come with an off brand, german style fan adapter with an american plug adapter. Its very dumb.
