A couple of things--

Don't type in all capitals, por favor it is the electronic equivalent of SHOUTING.

Now that being said, get up in the middle of the night and check your pH.

If it's under 8.0 then this is part of your problem. Most xeniids HATE low pH.

Mine cannot stand it.

To solve the nighttime pH drop, run your refugium (or add one) with lights on ONLY at night when your main tank lights are off.

TONS of benefits to doing this (notice me raising my voice on that one )

Also, if your nitrates and phosphates really are 0, then expect your xenia to not be all that happy--- -xenia kinda likes water with some nutrients in it.

Xenia can quickly over-run an older, "dirty" tank.

Yeah it's funny but in my last tank I couldn't keep xenia alive. In my current tank I can't kill it. Where do you have it in your tank? Is it getting light and good flow? Maybe you need some NO3 in your water. What kind is it brown, blue, white?

King1966 - I would try moving it around to see if you find a spot it likes better.

Ehaze - You're in Thornton? I used to live at 104th and Colorado. Now I'm out in Brighton.

the key word u said..every other coral is fine so u must be doing sumting right...again xenias are fussie...just dont get anymore if tabk is under 14 months then try again...if tank is old ...check your nutrients...xenia dont tolerate water chemistry issues very well...when water is right they are weed!

also search xenia care as ull find there are a strange coral thats east care but some cant keep...

I acutally threw 5 stalks away due to it taking over a corner of my tank. I also found out that a LFS will give you credit if you can frag it and it and bring it to them. I have a low ph of 8.0-8.1. other parameters

1.023
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
phosphate 0
ph 8.08
81deg
cal 360 a lil low
alk 13dkh a lil high

this was as of last night.

Yea, I tossed a huge colony away, I can't stand the stuff, it took over a huge part, I think it was like 2lbs of flesh/water in it(when I ripped it off)

not sure I'd worry about xenia not growing. That stuff is the equivalent of a pesky weed.

I suggest not adding xenia to any tank. I run GFO and have a fuge and the pom pom has to be cut out all the time or it will block other corals. The LFS gives next to nothing for credit so its easier to flush than try to get credit.
