Photography

Is there something in the archives or a website that is recommended to learn more about taking pictures of the aquarium. Pictures will be taken with a D60. Thanks
Ben

Quick hints,

Turn off the pumps,
Use a tri pod
And takes tons of pictures, but claim that you only took a couple.

set a custom white balance for your tank and you'll save a lot of time in post production

Buy a set of Tiffen close-up filters. I found mine on Ebay for $11.00. $65 plus tax at the camera shop.
They allow you to be able to go close up and focus. There a lot less expensive than a macro lens for $400.00.
I believe that this is what you want. I also believe that your lens thread size is 52mm as my D50 is. Check with Nikon first to be sure. Tech. support 24/7.

This is a pic with all three filters on my lens. I had the lens about 5 inches from the fish. This is Frankie.

We actually have a Sigma 70 - 300 macro lens along with a couple more. I just cant seem to get it. Also the white balance it says cant adjust in this mode. What mode do I need to be in to adjust it. Just got our first batch of corals in tonight and dying to take a good one of the new ORA appleberry.
Thanks for all the help. I have been reading well and finishing my build thread. LOL

I read somewhere that it takes a while - lots of practice - to use a macro lens properly. I'll post some links tonight.
