Ca reactor + Kalk = ??? help

so I currently have a Geo 618 Ca reactor with effluent of 6.65 PH producing a dKH of 27. Needless to say, i wanted to decipate some of that low PH. So I decided to drip both the Ca rx's effluent and Kalk into the same bowl and then have it overflow into the tank. well after a day, I see a major white precipretate build up in the bowl like i see in the bottom of the kalk reservoir. Is this something I should have expected??
