Red stuff growing on my glass
I noticed this red stuff growing on my tank over the last few weeks. I scrape it off but then it returns. It's round and about the size of a dime (maybe smaller)...Any ideas what this could be and should I be concerned?

Red slime Algae - Part of cycle
Should go away. If it gets really bad and covers everything you can use "Red Slime Remover"

the former is corraline algae and later could be diatom algae or red slime algae

I didn't think, sorry.
Corraline is actually a good alage. You will have to keep scraping it off your glass. I will stay on the rocks. It can be almost any color depending on type of rock light and god knows what. Purple, Reg, Orange, Brown and green

eventually if the corraline on the glass becomes a problem then purchase a small pin cushion urchin or a tuxedo urchin--these will take care of the corraline algae on the glass very effectively.
