bubble help..pics
Ok, I used to have everything shoved under my tank, it was cramped, I had a few leaks (nothing major) and dangerous (because of the wireing).
The other day I came home to find my wet/dry filter/sump empty and my pumps running dry! Of corse it was on Sunday at 7p.m. so I couldn't get any parts to fix it so I hooked up an old fluval canister filter until Wed (because of work that would be the first chance I would get to work on it). So anyways I hooked everything up in another room, this is what it looks like now. The problem is I have tons and tons of tiny bubbles in my DT now. Most of them are comming form the skimmer so I put a sponge and bag on it to try and stop them, but it still dont help I put other sponges in there to help get rid of the bubbles too as you can see from the other pic, but nothing helps can anyone give me some ideas as to what to do.

It's hard to say, but I would turn off the skimmer and see if the problem goes away. If it does then you know where the problem is. If the problem continues after the skimmer is off, I would say there is air leaking into your return pump intake somewhere; check your seals on the pump and hosing.
If they are small/micro bubbles then you know they are being created by a pump impeller, or some kind of high pressure situation. |

I did try turning off the skimmer, that's how I figured out that the majority of the bubbles are comming from the skimmer (when I turn it off they stop). The light blue spong is stoping the bubbles form the other side of the tank.

Thats the wrong kind of bag. That's a media bag. Use a filter sock that has either a 100 or a 200 micron rating. They do sell these in the drawstring variety.
