are you setting up a reef tank?
You would need way more flow. What are the dimensions of the tank?

they are outstanding powerheads imo, my favorite powerhead.
however in your 180 gallon tank you would need a few for the flow to be adequate, they are capable of being modded, then they have the power of a 6045, so you need to think about whether you want 4-5 powerheads in the tank, if you dont mind this and intend to hide a few in the rocks etc then a good choice, if your looking for 2-3 phs then they may be a little light in a 180. good phs though

I would forget the nanostreams in that size tank ang go for, at least 2x 6105 (with multicontroller).
In my 150g I use 2 x 6105 and a 6205 and it's a good amount of flow. The nano's will have little impact.

YA I did some more research and i think i will have to go with something bigger. Has anyone had any luck with the maxi jet 1600 conversion? They are very cheap and sounds like they move some water.

all depends on your budget. I have two vortechs and love them. But there are many choices. How many powerheads do you want?

Brian - I cannot urge you enough to buy good powerheads for your tank. You will end up buying them in the end anyway (after wasting a lot of money on powerheads which don't do the job).
Decent ones are expensive but very much worth it in the long run. You have a reasonable sized tank. The only way you are going to get ample flow with 2 powerheads is with Tunze 6105 (or even better 6205) or Vortech mp40. These models are also controllable. If the cost is too high you might consider 3- 4 Koralia #4's
