Moving Fish From "Copper" Tank To Reef Tank
must i accumulate and quarantine the fish in a "copper free" holding tank for a few days before moving it into the main reef tank? is it necessary?
can i instead accumulate and transfer it to the main reef tank immediately? thanks |

Agreed. I'm not a big fan of preemptive copper treatment, but as long as you don't add any of the copper treated water to your tank, you'll be fine adding the fish right away. Of course, I wouldn't be a good reef keeper if I didn't say that as a practice, you should still always quarantine any fish that you buy regardless of what the LFS did (or said they did).

You don't want any copper in your reef tank.
