smelly water?
After you change your Ro/Di filters do you ever get a weird smell that is in the water? almost like the smell of fish?

I took the line that connects to the di resin out to drain water from only the micron filter and carbon and the water smells just like tap water. Once i connected the hose back into the di resin chamber and let it run, it began to smell again. I had 2 di resin blocks that I had and installed the new one yesterday. I thought it was bad so i changed it again today with a new one. its a coralife pure flo.
anyone have any input?

That fishy smell is from the anion resin. To my knowledge it does not not cause a problem. As always, rinse the resin for 10 minutes before use.

I figured it was from the resin because I tried unhooking the resin and letting run through the other filter chambers and it smelt fine, it was only when I had the resin chamber connected ti would smell. but if your saying that the reason its smelling is due to the resin beads then I feel a lot better. I ran the Ro unit and filled my brute trash can but still had the smell lingering around.

Yep. If you handle the anion resin your hands smell like that for hours.
