ID please

i dont think it's bad but i noticed it when i first got my rock and it has definitely grown since then. it's about the size of a nickel. Anyone know what it is? sorry for the bad quality, its a camera phone. thanks

Very hard to tell from the picture, but I would guess it is a sponge.

Sponge seems like a good guess. The color looks too vivid for the common strains of cyanobacteria (red slime).

its not a sponge beacause it is hard. i have a couple on my rock too. there deep red and wavy. look like some type of coral

if it's wavy (in that it flows with the water) it's probably cyano . . .

no they do not move in the flow. it's hard.
