which critters will clean my sand bed in my 7 gallons tank?
the sandbed is kind of brownish, looks dirty.
I got goby and pistol shrimp, and 3 Nassarius Snails which not clean the sandbed. and 3 Astraea Snails which only clean the glass and LR. I know I cant keep the sandshifting goby in my tank because my tank is so small. I also cant keep cucumber and conch either. So the only option is Cerith Snails. the question is the Cerith Snail really clean the sandbed or not? how many I need for 7 gallon tank? |

I have about 100 Ceriths in my 55g. They're all over the rocks & glass with a few on the sand. They don't really do much.
As one member once said "Ceriths are a jack of all trades. They're just not very good at any of them." |

not entirely true. they are VERY good at providing new homes for hermit crabs.

I have no experience with them but I hear conches can be bull dozers and in a small tank I think it would be worse.
