Question Can someone educate me on PVC plumming?

My tank currently has 11, 3/4" holes (i think). I plugged five of them with 3/4" pvc plugs (for sure 3/4" plugs). I will be purchasing an Eheim 1262 return pump which is said to have a 3/4" fitting (what does that mean? Not shure). I am trying to learn what size of hole I need and what size of bulkhead fits that hole and what size of pipe fits that bulkhead, so on and so forth. Anyone know of a chart that tells you this?

Thanks in advance for any help
