Your lucky you can just go to the ocean and collect nice stuff. I used to live in Puerto Rico and visited st thomas and st john many times. Do you collect stuff?

Yes I do Dave, Right now I am about 50% local. I used to be 100 % but My system was not set up right and I was not as experienced as i am now.
Now, in the current pic, my sand, cleanup crew, rock and one anem and a coral I dont have a name for are local, Alittle later today I will post a pictoral history of my tank. Why did you move from puerto rico ?

Things got hectic at work, started a new project and time was a problem, and you know what happens with neglect. So in december after reading the tank of the month of louis gonzalez in puerto rico and visiting him while on vacation there I embarked upon my "final" rebuild.
I put in a new sump with a refugium, a new skimmer, an automatic top off system, new plumbing and a calcium reactor. the biggest thin that i have learned is you must keep your system in balance and make changes ever so slightly. This brings me to the present

Its my goal to make sure that It stasys this way for years to come, so if you have any suggestions please let my know I still have alot to learn from you guys out there.

Thanks kdocimo90 It's been a long journey, But I must say Reefcentral Has been a BIG!!! Help There is so much information here> I've been a member here since 2006 bot did not relly pay attention untill late 2007/2008. As you can see it's paying off. Most of the present livestock came from fellow reefers through the buy/sell/trade forum and especially my good friend reefcrawler
