getting coraline algae of overflow boxes

I'm trying to clean coraline algae of overflow boxes in a tank I'm trying to clean up. whats the best way to clean it off.

I'm assuming you're talking about the megaflow overflow boxes? Whichever it is, if it's plastic it's going to be difficult to clean and like dettigers77 said, a credit card might be your best option. Mine are black plastic I haven't bothered trying to clean them more than once after I saw the difficulty and how quickly the coralline returns.

yes I mean the megaflows, Now I'm going to be emptying this tank out. Can I put water and vinegar and let it sit for a few days.

diluted muratic acid works great as well.

I have muratic acid that I use for my pool filters what would be the ratio.

no exact ratio I just dumped some in. Fill your tank up with water. Put powerhead in it and then put a couple cups of acid in at a time. The coraline wll eventually fall right off with no scraping at all.
